The ÁùºÏ²Ê¿â Portal is your gateway to online resources at ÁùºÏ²Ê¿â, including many required to complete your enrollment steps.

The academic deposit saves your place in our incoming class and allows you to continue the admissions process.

If you were admitted based on unofficial transcripts, or transcripts that did not show your final grades and graduation, you will need to provide final official documents.

Request an I-20 or DS-2019 (Certificate of Eligibility)

Refer to the link in your admission letter to request an I-20 or DS-2019. Use your ÁùºÏ²Ê¿â Login to upload the necessary documentation to request your I-20 or DS-2019.

Complete Pre-Arrival Orientation

You will be notified via email from International Students and Scholars Services (ISSS) on how to complete your Pre-Arrival Orientation.

Apply for Housing

First-time freshmen and transfer students with fewer than 24 credits: ÁùºÏ²Ê¿â has a . After paying the academic deposit, apply for housing in a ÁùºÏ²Ê¿â residence hall.

Transfer students with 24 or more credits: You are not required to live on campus and may choose from University Apartments, off-campus housing and residence halls.

Choose a Dining Plan

Everyone living in campus housing is required to purchase an on-campus student dining plan. Students living off-campus have the option of purchasing an off-campus student plan.

Reminder: You need to complete your housing application before choosing a dining plan.

Complete Health Insurance Waiver

All international students are required to have health insurance coverage. You will be billed for the ÁùºÏ²Ê¿â Aetna health insurance plan unless you opt out by completing the student health insurance waiver. The fall 2024 insurance waiver opens June 1.

Complete New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation will introduce you to ÁùºÏ²Ê¿â and Morgantown. You also will work with an academic adviser to finalize for your first semester classes.

In addition to your main orientation, International Students and Scholars Services (ISSS) will email you about check-in and international student activities during Welcome Week.

Travel to the U.S. and Arrange Airport Pick-Up

You are not permitted to travel to the U.S. more than 30 days prior to your program start date (first day of classes). Once you have finalized your travel arrangements to the U.S., if you need assistance with airport pick-up, ground transportation services are available.

Move-in

Welcome home! If you are living in a ÁùºÏ²Ê¿â residence hall, details for move-in will be sent to your ÁùºÏ²Ê¿â MIX email in early June. If you are living off-campus or in University Apartments, contact your property manager for move-in information.

Pay Your Bill

By the end of the first week of July, fall semester charges will be available in ÁùºÏ²Ê¿â MyAccount, which you can access through the ÁùºÏ²Ê¿â Portal. You will receive a billing notification in your MIX email if you owe a balance. Payment is due August 1.

Tip: are available to break up your semester's tuition and fees into smaller, more manageable installments.

You won’t receive a bill if you have paid your fees, have established a payment plan that covers your balance, have a sponsor paying your fees or have enough aid to cover your charges.

Choose a First-Year Trip

Start your college experience like a real Mountaineer. Our optional Adventure WV First-Year Trips are peer-led, adventure-based programs that will prepare you for life at ÁùºÏ²Ê¿â. All trips take place in June, July or August. Registration is first-come, first-served for admitted students who have paid the academic deposit.

You must pay your academic deposit before registering for an Adventure WV trip.

Apply for Scholarships

You are automatically considered for ÁùºÏ²Ê¿â scholarships for fall 2023 if you were admitted as an international student before June 1. You may also wish to explore other scholarship opportunities with an EducationUSA adviser in your country.
